The Kentucky Castle is a gorgeous boutique hotel that is located on 55 acres in Versaille, which is near the city of Lexington. The castle is near a plethora of horse farms and bourbon distilleries, making it a fun travel destination the whole family can enjoy.
Built in 1969, the castle was initially known as the Martin Castle and then the Castle Post. In 1975, the couple who built the castle got a divorce, and the castle was left empty for the next thirty years.
The castle was finally bought in 2003, but it had to close the very next year because of a fire on a part of the building that was undergoing construction. The castle reopened in 2007, and since then, it has developed a reputation for being a quirky hotel, restaurant and entertainment venue.

The hotel part of the castle has fourteen boutique rooms as well as a ballroom and a scenic rooftop for private events. Though rooms rates start at $495 a night, the hotel encourages booking your reservations in advance due to its popularity.

Castle Farms is the hotel’s farm to table restaurant that serves seasonal and fresh foods.
Bourbon is a huge aspect of the hotel, and they even have a “bourbon-steward-in-resident.”
The castle has become a popular wedding location for couples from all over the world.
