A 90 pound dog is being hailed as a hero after he helped police nab an intruder who broke into his owner’s home.

Donnie Massing was not home when the burglar broke into his house in Indianapolis, Indiana, but his dog Roxy was there, and she did not hesitate to teach the intruder a lesson that he won’t soon forget! When the intruder broke into the house, he was met by Roxy, who immediately went on the attack.

Going into panic mode, the burglar ran upstairs and tried to escape through a second floor window, but Roxy was not about to let him get away that easily. The dog started pulling the man back into the house, thwarting his getaway. Eventually, the man fell out the window, plummeting down the roof of the house before hitting the ground in a hard fall.

The intruder had no idea that Donnie’s neighbors were watching by that point, and that they had already called the police. They were also filming the incident on their phones, capturing Roxy’s attack on the intruder on camera.

“There’s a big dog!” the intruder screamed as he fell, just as police were arriving on the scene. Thanks to Roxy delaying the man’s escape, police were able to arrive in time to arrest him on the spot!

Donnie could not be more proud of Roxy, and he has understandably been bragging about his protective dog to anyone who will listen. He sure is lucky to have such a devoted dog like her!
