Like many other elderly folks, Bonnie and George Miller started to suffer from various health problems in their old age. By the time they each reached the age of 87, Bonnie’s body had started to give out, and George’s mind began to go.

Bonnie and George were forced to rely on each other in order to maintain their independence, and their son Schon soon became very worried about them. He knew how much his parents loved each other, and he could not stand to think of them ending up in a nursing home.

When Bonnie fell and broke her shoulder, however, Schon and his wife Jeannie knew that a change needed to be made. They started looking for homes that came with in-law suites, which are small dwellings located either on the same property as or attached to a single-family home. This allows elderly parents to maintain their privacy while also being close to their family members, but they could not find exactly what they were looking for.

That’s when Schon and Jeannie came up with a plan that is melting the hearts of internet users everywhere. The couple blew a hole out in the wall of their basement in their Bremen, Ohio home. They then took everything out of their basement recreational room and completely refurbished it, creating a beautiful suite for Bonnie and George!

In the video below, you’ll see Schon surprise his parents with the suite. The reactions Bonnie and George have are absolutely priceless when they see what their son and daughter-in-law did for them!
