Few things are more annoying than being stuck on a cramped airplane while your flight is delayed. Passengers become increasingly agitated as the delay goes on, which is why we end up with so many viral videos of people become unruly while stuck on planes.

Noticing that passengers on their delayed flight were starting to get annoyed, four elderly men decided to do something to brighten up everyone’s spirits. The four men are part of the barbershop quartet called Port City Sound, and they decided to lighten the mood by showing off their talents to the rest of the plane.

Based in Maine, Port City Sound is an award-winning quartet that is known around the world for their amazing vocal abilities. They have such big hearts that when a flight attendant approached them and asked if they would mind singing the plane, they immediately stepped up and gave a performance that has since gone viral!

The passengers could not help but smile as Port City Sound gave an incredible impromptu performance. The quartet clearly turned everyone’s day around with their singing.

In the video below, you’ll see multiple passengers whipping out their phones to record the performance. This is a performance that nobody wanted to forget for a long time!

Video of their performance has gone viral, being viewed over eight million times.

“Our flight to New Orleans today was delayed for maintenance AFTER we had boarded (I’m a flight attendant),” the woman who posted the video wrote. “I started talking to the passengers and realized we had a barbershop quartet in our presence. I asked them to sing and most of the passengers began video taping!”

“It was such a great moment… The mood changed and our passengers were awesome for the whole 5 hours they were on the plane!” she continued. “One of my favorite moments!!! Thank you to Port City Sound for creating a wonderful memory!!!”
