Meeting a new member of the family is always exciting, especially for a child who is becoming an older sibling for the first time. In the video below, you’ll see a little girl have the purest reaction of joy when she meets her newborn baby sister.

When baby Charleigh was born, her lungs were not fully developed, so she had to spend the first sixteen days of her life in the NICU. Since it was flu season, Charleigh’s older siblings Presley and Reef could not visit her at the hospital, so their excitement at the prospect of meeting her only grew during the two weeks the baby was there.

One day, Presley and Reef were going about their normal daily routine having no idea that their mother Courtney had a special surprise in store for them.

When Presley and Reef got home from school, Courtney told them to wait a moment before coming into the room. Presley realized right away what the surprise was, and she responded by running right into the room to meet her baby sister! As soon as she saw Charleigh, Presley clutched her heart and tears filled her eyes. She clearly can’t wait to get started with her big sister duties!

There is nothing in the world like the love of a big sister, and Charleigh is lucky to have one who is already so devoted to her. This is definitely the beginning of a beautiful sisterhood!
