A nail salon in Ohio is raising eyebrows all over the country with their double entendre of a name.

Dawn Moon is the owner of Hand Job Nails & Spa in Perkins Township, and she completely stands by the name.

“In less than a week, I think the whole country knows about us,” she said. “If you go in and get your nose done it’s called a nose job, right? Well, you come in and get your hands done. You think of something like that and don’t know if you’ll ever do it, but I did.”

Though the township’s zoning director says complaints have come in about the nail salon’s name, Dawn said that she got a license for it and that she has no intention of changing the name. She claims that customers and staffers alike love the name, so she sees no reason to change it.

Despite this, the town has said that they are reviewing the zoning approval for the salon’s outward-facing signage.

“We were given a license by the state. My name stays the same. I just don’t know what’s gonna happen as far as the sign,” Dawn said. She added that if the zoning board ends up turning her down, she will put up a fight.

Dawn is certainly right that the name of the salon is getting a lot of attention, but with children in the area, it does not seem like the best name to have. Do you think she should change the name of the salon, or does she have the right to keep it? Let us know in the comments section.
