Everyone loves Girls Scout cookies, but very few people like them enough to purchase $540-worth of them. However, one man from Greenville, South Carolina just had a very special reason for dropping this much money on some cookies.
Maya and Emerson are two Girl Scouts who were selling cookies out side of a local store earlier this week when a man approached them and bought seven packs of cookies for $40. The man then left, and it came as a huge surprise to the girls when the man returned minutes later to say he wanted to purchase their entire stock of cookies!
It turns out that the man was worried about the girls staying out in the cold on a chilly winter night, so to help them finish quickly so that they could go back inside, the man was only too happy to drop some serious cash on some cookies.
Cookie manager Kayla Dillard was so touched when she saw the man doing this that she snapped a photo and posted it to Facebook.
““He came back to the table and said ‘pack up all of your cookies. I’m taking them all so y’all can get out of this cold’,” she wrote. “$540 he spent on cookies. What an amazing soul!!!! It was about 34 degrees outside that night and we were there for about two hours already before he came. We all were shocked. The girls were very excited and thankful.”
God bless this man for his generous spirit. We need more people in the world like him!
