It’s been over forty years since Elvis Presley passed away, but he is still missed by millions of fans all over the world.
Last week, NBC held a star-studded tribute show to Elvis that reminded the world just what an incredible talent he really was. Though many A-list singers performed the rock-n-roll legend’s songs, one stood out from among all the rest when he took the stage during the special.

The likes of Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, and Keith Urban all covered Elvis’ songs during the tribute show, but it was Ed Sheeran who stole the show when he took the stage to perform “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”

Ed is best known for performing either pop songs or emotional ballads, so this song was perfectly suited for his vocal range. Ed was able to sing “Can’t Help Falling In Love” in a way that brought back memories of Elvis, giving the audience a sense of nostalgia for the rock-n-roll sensation that brought many to tears.

The NBC special aimed to recreate Elvis’ own 1968 special, an event that many have said revitalized his career. Even the stage was an exact replica of the show from 51 years ago! The NBC event also included never before seen footage of Elvis as well as rare interviews with his family and friends.

Internet users can’t get enough of Ed’s performance!
“Beautiful. It was an honour to listen to your cover of this song,” one social media user wrote, with another adding, “He has such a wonderful voice, and he nailed this song!”
