Winky is a bichon frise dog who has found himself becoming a viral sensation after he lost the agility course at the 143rd Westminster Dog Show in the cutest way possible.
Though other dogs ran through the obstacle course as fast as possible, Winky’s strategy was far more relaxed.

As soon as Winky got onto the course, it was clear that he was taking a very casual approach to it. He walked through the course with his handler as if he was taking just an average walk through the park, rather than competing in a competition that is all about speed!
This event was won by a border collie named Verb, who sped through it with a time of 32.05 seconds. Notice that Verb flies through the course at lightning speed!

Winky’s run could not have been more different from Verb’s. He even paused a few times on the obstacle course to soak up the scene and take a look at the adoring fans.

Though Winky is certainly much smaller than Verb, dogs closer to his size were able to go through the course fast as well. One such competitor is Gabby the papillon, who came out victorious in the eight-inch class with a time of 39.31 seconds.

Though he lost this race, Winky won the hearts of internet users everywhere who just can’t get enough of him.
“Winky stopping to pose for his adoring fans at the top of the boards is the energy we need in 2019,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Winky it’s not how fast you go it’s how well you finish! Love the pose!”
We applaud Winky for attempting this course and finishing it in the most adorable way!
