Parents are always looking for fun activities to do with their young children that will expose them to different aspects of the world. One of the most fun things to do with a kid is to take them to the zoo, which is why this young mother decided to take her baby daughter to the San Diego Zoo. There, a magical moment happened that the mother never expected, and the internet is glad she managed to capture it on camera!

As the mother and her baby walked around the zoo with her dad, a butterfly suddenly flew up and landed on the little girl’s head. For a few seconds, the butterfly stood on her head without the baby noticing, even when her dad started calling her name. She responded by looking at him blankly, not knowing what was going on.

Another kid spoke up to try and make the baby smile, but she once again stared blankly, clueless about the butterfly on her head.

Finally, the butterfly opened it’s wings, exposing an incredibly gorgeous blue pattern. The design on the wings of the butterfly was nothing short of magical, and it left everyone around in awe.

The butterfly appeared to be very attached to the baby, not flying away even when the little girl moved her head down.

The butterfly is actually a Blue Morpho butterfly. These butterflies are some of the largest butterfly species in the world. Their wings can span to around 5 to 8 inches and the backs of them include microscopic scales that create the iridescent blue coloring that frequently captures people’s attention.
