A woman brought her 16 year-old daughter to the doctor, who asked the mother, “Okay, Mrs. James, what appears to be the problem?”

“It’s my daughter Darla,” the mother replied. “She keeps getting these cravings, she’s putting on weight, and she is sick most mornings.”

The doctor proceeded to give Darla a thorough examination. When he finished, he turned to the mother and said, “Well, I don’t know how to tell you this, but your Darla is pregnant-about 4 months, would be my guess.”

“Pregnant?!” the mother exclaimed. “She can’t be, she has never ever been left alone with a man! Have you, Darla?”

“No mother! I’ve never even kissed a man!” Darla replied.

The doctor then walked out the window and just stared out of it silently. After about five minutes, the mother said, “Is there something wrong out there doctor?”

“No, not really,” the doctor replied. “It’s just that the last time anything like this happened, a star appeared in the east and three wise men came over the hill. I’ll be damned if I’m going to miss it this time!”
