The latest craze to spread around the internet has been mothers embarrassing their teenage children with their awkward lip sync skills. This mother from Colorado, however, may have just outdone all her fellow moms with the way she embarrassed her son during a wintry Colorado traffic jam!

Wendy Chupp Gossett was driving with her son last weekend when they found themselves stuck in traffic for “4.5 hours” in a jam that she compared to “a zombie apocalypse.”

Anyone who has ever gotten stuck in a jam like this knows that it can oftentimes give us cabin fever. After being stuck in traffic for hours, Wendy just had to blow off some steam. When the song “Everybody” by the Backstreet Boys came over the radio, Wendy saw this as the perfect opportunity to jump out of her car, dance like nobody was watching, and embarrass her teen in the process!

Wendy explained that she was “trying to get a real life La La Land,” referring to the 2016 movie musical that included a famous scene in which people stuck in traffic jump out of their cars to dance.

While none of Wendy’s drivers ended up joining in, the video of her moves is absolutely priceless! Unfortunately, it does not seem like her son would agree.

“Maybe if it hadn’t been the Backstreet Boys he would have been happier!”

Thankfully, Wendy’s family ended up making it to their destination.

While her son sat in embarrassment, Wendy said that her daughter could not get enough of her dance!

“The best part of this whole experience has been that my daughter, who is quite the private and ‘cool’ girl, now thinks I am cool and all her friends think I am the bomb!” Wendy said. “So funny!”

After video of her dance went viral, Wendy got the surprise of her life when Backstreet Boys frontman Nick Carter tweeted about it!
