Fans all over the world are in morning this week after the death of Boo the Pomeranian passed away last Friday from heart issues. He was 12 year-old.

Boo had begun experiencing the heart problems that led to his death back in 2017, just after the death of his dog friend Buddy. News of Boo’s death was confirmed on his Facebook page by his owners.

“With deepest sadness I wanted to share that Boo passed away in his sleep early this morning and has left us to join his best friend, Buddy,” they wrote.

“Boo showed signs of heart issues. We think his heart literally broke when Buddy left us,” the owner continued. “He hung on and gave us over a year. But it looks like it was his time, and I’m sure it was a most joyous moment for them when they saw each other in heaven.”

Boo bonded with Buddy immediately after he joined his San Francisco household back in 2006, and his owners recounted how Boo would refuse to pose for photos unless Buddy was in them too.

Though it was hard to say goodbye to Boo, his owners wrote that, “it looks like it was his time, and I’m sure it was a most joyous moment for them when they saw each other in heaven.”

The owners wrote that “over the years Boo met some super cool people, a lot of crazy talented people, but most of all so many kind people…”

While saying goodbye to Boo is very sad, we’re glad that he is with his good friend Buddy again.

Rest in peace, Boo! Check out some of Boo’s best moments in the video below.
