Being a member of the British royal family may seem like it’s all fun and games, but there are actually parts of it that are quite a challenge. Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opened up about what they don’t like about being royalty.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently attended the WellChild Awards, an annual event in London where the charity’s ambassadors and celebrities honor children coping with serious illnesses. As a patron of WellChild, this cause is very important to Harry.

During the event, Harry and Meghan had a chat with four-year-old Mckenzie Brackley, who won the Inspirational Child (4-6) years Award for his brave battle with Acute Flaccid Paralysis. Mckenzie and his family got a big surprise when Harry and Meghan opened up about what they don’t like about being royals during their chat.

As he talked to them, Mckenzie told Harry and Meghan that he did not like the cameras, and much to his surprise, they agreed with him!

“They were so lovely. They knew he was scared of the cameras and they said they didn’t like the cameras either so they turned around,” Mckenzie’s mother Amy said. “They said he was amazing and to keep going the way he is going and told him to look after me. He’s never going to forget this, even though he’s only four.”

Given how much negative publicity Meghan has received in the past year about her family, she certainly has reason to be wary of the cameras. We imagine that it also can’t be easy to be photographed wherever you go at all times!
