Nobody likes it when heat stains form on furniture after hot drinks are placed on them without a coaster. That’s why we’d like to show you a simple two-step hack that will help you get rid of these unsightly marks in seconds!

The hack was revealed to the world by an Australian mother who took to Facebook to share it with the world.

“I just got a white burn mark out of my beautiful wood table. With a tea towel and iron set to medium setting. No steam,” she wrote. All you have to do is place the tea towel on a wooden table and iron gently over it. If you leave it to sit for a bit, the stain will be gone!

Social media users have been commenting on the hack, saying that it really does work!

“Omg This really works. Thank you. Old tea cup ring mark removed within 1 minute using a dry teatowel and a hot dry iron. My wife and I cannot believe it,” one social media user wrote, with another adding, “Place towel over mark HOT iron spot for 5 MINUTES……..IT ACTUALLY WORKS…”

Other social media users have said that if you are in no rush, you can simply leave the stain alone and it will disappear in a few months.

“This just happened to me a while ago,” one person commented. “Just leave it and it should come good on its own. Mine’s just gone back to normal now and I did it a couple of months back.”
