Olivia Newton-John is currently battling cancer for the third time, and fans went into panic mode last month when reports claimed that she was near death. That’s why it came as a huge relief on Wednesday when Olivia posted a photo to social media in which she let her fans know that these claims are false!
“I just want to say that the rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated!” Olivia said with a huge smile on her face. “I am doing great! I want to wish you all the happiest and healthiest 2019 that is possible. Thank you all for your incredible love and support.”

The Grease star is currently in her third battle with cancer, having beaten the disease first in 1991 and again in 2013. In May of 2017, she received some devastating news from doctors when she was announced with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. In the fall of 2018, Olivia told her fans that she was battling her cancer with radiation treatments as well as natural remedies.
Last month, reports started coming out in both Australia and the United States claiming that Olivia was not doing well.
“Olivia’s bodily functions appear to be shutting down, but she refuses to let go until she makes it through [her daughter] Chloe’s wedding day,” a source was quoted as saying.
Tottie Goldsmith, Olivia’s niece, hit back on these “sick” rumors this week, saying, “You can rest assured she is going nowhere.”
We’re glad to see that Olivia is doing well, and please send her some love and prayers as she continues her battle with cancer.
