Back in June, Bode Miller suffered a horrific tragedy when his one and a half year-old daughter Emeline passed away after drowning at a family friend’s pool. Months later, Bode took to Instagram to reveal the touching way he is paying tribute to the little girl.
Bode uploaded a photo of himself holding skis with Emme’s face on it along with the caption, “My favorite Christmas present. Taking my baby girl skiing today.”
This comes after Bode’s wife Morgan Beck posted a tribute to Emme on Christmas Day.
“Merry Christmas to our baby girl in heaven,” Morgan wrote. “We miss you so much!”
Emeline died on June 10 in Coto de Caza, California.
“It happened around 6:30 in the evening on Saturday night,” Orange County Fire Authority Captain Steve Concialdi said at the time. “They were at a neighbor’s house, talking to the neighbors inside, and somehow the little girl made her way to the backyard pool.”
“She was only missing for just a short amount of time and Mom turned and was looking for her and didn’t see her right next to her,” he continued. “Mom went straight to the backyard to where the pool was. The child was in the pool. The mom pulled out the little girl and they started CPR immediately.”
Please continue to keep the Miller family in your thoughts and prayers!
