Contestants that compete on television talent shows need to be sure that their performance stands out among the rest of the crowd, and that’s exactly what Chris Mann did and then some.
When he appeared in the finals of season 2 of The Voice he opted to perform the popular song “You Raise Me Up.” While the song alone is popular, it was the way that Mann sang it that really got everyone’s attention.
If you’ve watched him perform this season, you know that he has a passion for what he does and this song was no exception. His voice is a perfect match for this song and he puts his entire heart and soul into singing it. To make the performance even more impressive, to the right of Mann is a woman that is signing the lyrics to the song so that everyone in the crowd could enjoy the performance.

As the song reached a crescendo, the audience began to cheer, but it was judge Christina Aguilera that seemed to be overtaken the most with emotion. Mann is one of her team members and his outstanding performance literally brought Aguilera to tears.
When the performance was over, she told Mann just how proud of him she is, not just because of his amazing talent, but because he stuck to his guns and stayed true to who he is. Judge Cee Lo Green even said Mann’s voice is incomparable while Blake Shelton said he was a strong singer and a “powerhouse.” Although Mann didn’t win the season he proved himself a talent to reckon with.
He was able to release a couple of songs and has released two studio albums as well. Check out his amazing performance in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
