Many people dream of quitting their mundane jobs and going out in a blaze of glory with an epic rant. Now, a teenager is going viral after he did just that while quitting his job at Walmart!
Jackson Racicot is a 17 year-old boy from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada who quit his job at Walmart earlier this month by hijacking the store’s intercom and going off on a massive expletive-filled rant.
“Attention all shoppers, associates and management, I would like to say to all of you today that nobody should work here, ever,” Jackson said over the intercom. “Our managers will make promises and never keep them.” He went on to explain that he had worked at the Walmart for over a year and a half, and called out his assistant manager for insulting him.
“I’m sick of all the b——-, bogus write-ups and my job,” Jackson concluded. “F— management, f— this job and f—- Walmart.”
Jackson later explained that it was being called a “waste of time” by his boss that was the last straw for him.
“It was a little shove, because my toes were already hanging off the edge,” he said.
Jackson posted the video to Facebook along with the caption, “How I quit my job today,” and it immediately went viral.
“There’s burning bridges and then there’s nuking em from orbit,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “This kid is my hero!”
“God bless you young man,” a third user wrote. “Your parents raised you well. No matter how young or old you are never and I mean never let anyone especially big time Corparations LIKE WALMART intimidate you. You have your whole life in ahead of you. I’m so proud and never let anyone call you a waste of time . Walmart it’s about time someone stood up to you. Great job young man!!!!!”
