Last month, the Camp Fire wildfire wreaked havoc on the state of California, leaving countless people without homes. Those who lost their home included forty firefighters who put their lives on the line to battle the blaze, which was particularly bad in the city of Paradise.

Kim Ringeisen and his wife Annette had already planned to move to North Carolina from their California home when the wildfire hit. Instead of paying to have their furniture and household possessions move across the country, they decided to do something incredibly selfless and donate everything that they had to the forty firefighters who lost their home.

After setting aside some sentimental items that they wanted to keep, Kim and Annette loaded up a 26-foot shipping truck with the contents of their house and gave all of it to the firefighters. They also donated an additional storage unit filled with more of their things to the firefighters. Annette happens to make dolls for a living, so on top of everything else, she donated dozens of her homemade toys as Christmas gifts for the children of the firefighters.

Not stopping there, Kim raised over $850 in online donations to cover any financial needs the firefighters might have.

“They’re out there every day protecting lives and protecting property and doing the best that they can with it and I think we can help them out when needed,” he explained.

We applaud this couple for doing something so incredibly selfless for firefighters who put their lives on the line to help the people of California during this difficult time. Find out more about this in the video below!
