A number of stories have been going viral as of late about Good Samaritans doing things like picking up someone’s tab at a restaurant or paying for layaway items at a store. Now, another story is going viral about a Good Samaritan helping out an elderly man in need at Walgreens in a beautiful way.

An unidentified woman was in the pharmacy section at Walgreens when she overheard a pharmacist talking to an elderly man at the counter. The man was attempting to pick up a three-month supply of medication, but he was stunned when he heard that it would cost him $170. Knowing that he could not afford this, the elderly man was trying to put together enough money to pay for one month when the woman decided to get involved.
“OKAY, I just saw the most amazing thing today,” a girl who witnessed what happened wrote on Facebook. “I was waiting for my prescription at Walgreens, and I noticed this man is picking up his medicines. He is asking how much they are, and starting to get nervous about the price. The total was $170, and the pharmacist asked if he would rather only get one month of his medicines instead of 3. THIS lady next to me walks up to them and says: ‘NO, he is getting all three months’ and pays for his bill. I was walking out of there with tears in my eyes, what an amazing woman…”

We applaud this woman for doing something so kind to help a man in need. Please pay it forward by doing something kind for someone else the next time you get the chance to!
