There’s something about Christmas that just makes us want to listen to all the classic Christmas tunes, and “Silent Night” is one of those songs. Three of country music’s leading ladies must have thought the same thing.

The trio teamed up to perform the Christmas classic and boy are we glad they did. Their rendition of the song is absolutely stunning and you makes you just want to curl up in front of a cozy fire and drink hot chocolate.

The song starts out with one of country music’s younger sweethearts, Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson took home first place in the 2002 season of the talent television show “American Idol.” While it has been nearly 20 years since she came onto the country music scene, that isn’t very many years compared to the women that joined her on stage to finish off the song.

After the first verse, Clarkson is joined on the stage by Trisha Yearwood. Clarkson harmonizes to the smooth, beautiful melody that Yearwood brings to the song.

The next verse, another country singing idol steps into the spotlight and the trio performs music like you’ve never heard before. Reba McEntire takes over the melody and Yearwood and Clarkson add in the harmony.

McEntire later said that performing with the other two women was like a dream come true. She said she enjoyed just sitting back and listening to them sing.

Their voices mixed together beautifully with just a touch of country twang giving us even more reason to love this Christmas classic. Check it out in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
