The “Little Drummer Boy” is one of the most beloved Christmas songs that there is, and it’s simple tune has not changed very much since it was written. That’s why it came as a huge surprise when a Christian pop group put their own spin on the song that has to be heard to be believed!

Christian pop group King & Country has just covered “Little Drummer Boy” in a truly unforgettable way. In the video below, you’ll see group member Luke Smallbone perform the song in concert as the crowd roars in approval. The stage is dark at first, with the crowd only barely being able to see Luke.

As soon as the first electric guitar is heard, however, the entire stage lights up! The band jams for a full minute, making it seem like they are going to perform a rock song. It comes as a huge surprise when you hear Luke’s brother Joel Smallbone sing the first “Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum.”

Together, Luke and Joel somehow took this old Christmas song and modernized it into a powerful rock jam! It’s so amazing to hear them put a modern spin on such a classic song.

Video of their performance has quickly gone viral, being viewed nearly four million times, with people all over the world loving it.
“Drums, and lots of drums, and even more drums. LOVE IT,” one social media user wrote, another adding, “Love them. i never get tired of watching them. my favorite band right here.”
“Holy Cow I love love love love this!!!!- As a drummer and a Christian….i am leaping out of my skin. Well done!!!! Awesome!!!!” wrote a third.
