Police officers take an oath to serve and protect, but some of them take that a little more seriously then others. That is the case with Officer Robert Lofgran of the West Jordan Police Department in Utah.

Lofgran just happened to be in the station when a young mother came to the station with her children and wanted to file a report for domestic violence. The mom was visibly upset and Lofgran offered to help the mother with her children. He took the kids and literally spent hours holding the baby and caring for the other young children that were with the anxious mom. The clerks at the police station couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

They were so touched by Lofgran’s kindness that they snapped several photos of him holding the infant and playing with the children and posted them to the department’s Facebook page.

The post said, “Our records clerks caught Officer Lofgran during a call detail the other day. Officer Lofgran helped watch over the children while this mother got the help she needed for that day. He spent several hours on this call. Thank you for your service.”

The photos have been shared hundreds of time since making their way onto social media. Sgt. Alex Earelli says that he is very proud because his officers are very kind and supportive and those are the types of values he wants their department to represent.

How amazing is this guy! We need more policemen like Officer Lofgran. If you agree, be sure to share this heartwarming story with your family and friends.
