“NCIS: Los Angeles” is a spin-off of the massively popular television show “NCIS,” and it has quickly become almost as popular as the original.

Though “NCIS: Los Angeles” includes huge stars like Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J, it was a 4 foot 9 actress who quickly became a fan favorite on the series.

Academy Award winning actress Linda Hunt starred on the show as Hetty Lange, who was beloved by fans. That’s why fans were devastated when she suddenly disappeared from the series. Her character called O’Donnell’s character and told him that she was mysteriously gone and did not know when she’d be back.

Unfortunately, writers had to write this disappearance into the show after Hunt suffered a real-life car crash. She was reportedly trying to make a left turn when she struck a car and collided into a third car. After the accident, Hunt was rushed to the hospital with minor injuries, and little has been heard from her since.

Thankfully, Hunt has just broken her silence to hint at her return!

“I first want to say how much I appreciate the outpouring of support from the “NCIS: Los Angeles” fans following my car accident this summer,” Hunt said. “Though I had hoped to return to playing Hetty at the start of the season, I had to take some additional time to recover. I look forward to returning later this season.”

It looks like we won’t have to wait much longer for Hunt’s return! We can’t wait to see you back on the small screen, Linda Hunt!
