If you’ve never watched James Corden you are really missing out. The guy can sing and dance and keep up with the best of the celebrities that he interviews on his show “The Late Late Show With James Corden.” But there is one celebrity that he had a bit of trouble keeping up with, but it wasn’t dancing or singing that they were doing together. The actor was Mark Wahlberg and they were doing a morning workout.
Corden decided he would try his hand at Wahlberg’s intense morning workout schedule that begins with a 2:30 a.m. wake up call. Corden deserves major props for making it out of bed that early. That would have been the end of it for me!
After doing a bit of prayer and a pre-workout meal, Wahlberg hits the gym by 4 a.m. He does a bit of stretching and then works his way into squats, jump roping, and a variety of other extreme exercises. Corden admits that he’s okay with being in “bottom bottom shape” and that the working out thing is new territory for him. He’s also not sure about getting out of bed in the middle of the night to do so much work.

Although he’s not a fitness fanatic and had never worked out in front of a TV audience, the result is absolutely hilarious. He may not have found the exercise enjoyable, but he did make it fun.
At one point while they were performing jump lunges, Corden admitted that he liked this part because it made him feel like he was in a boy band. To add to the moment, he began singing “Everbody” by the Backstreet Boys. When the workout was coming to an end, Corden gave Wahlberg a little memento to remember their workout. It was a 4 a.m. Club t-shirt that featured a very buff Corden and slightly less buff Wahlberg on the front.

Wahlberg also documented the occasion on his Instagram welcoming Corden to the 4 a.m. Club. But Corden isn’t the only person to have joined Wahlberg for his early morning workout. Celebrities, including Octavia Spencer, have also been inspired to start the day early.
Admittedly, getting up at 2:30 a.m. isn’t for everyone, Wahlberg says he does it for his career. “You’ve got to keep working hard to get where you want to be,” he says. He admits that working out daily and making it more and more aggressive every day helps him stay focused. He says he has more drive and desire now than he has ever had before.
