There’s a longstanding stereotype that states that dogs and cats don’t get along. However, a new video is going viral that blows this stereotype out of the water completely!

An adorable video is going viral showing the moment a baby ginger tabby cat made friend with seven enthusiastic labradors.

The video opens with a red tabby cat named Giuseppe laying out on a patio chair when a group of happy Golden Retrievers approach him. Giuseppe, who lives in Alessandria, Italy, seems to be totally unfazed by the dogs! Instead, he simply seems to be enjoying their friendship.

The Blue Cross, an animal charity, has stated that if dogs and cats are being cared for properly, they can get along “extremely well.” However, experts also say that it’s important to take things slowly and introduce cats and dogs to each other gently if they are going to be living together.

Trainer Mikkel Becker advises pet owners who want both a dog and a cat to begin the process by focusing on the dog, rather that the cat, which can sometimes be the more demanding animal.

“Dogs who are exposed to cats during their primary socialisation period, from about two to nine weeks of age, are more likely to be relaxed around cats in their adult life,” he said. “Breeds with a lower occurrence of predatory behaviour may also be less likely to chase after a cat.”

The video below indicates that this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship between Giuseppe and his friends! Check out the video below!
