Tyson Kane is known to his students as the cool principal. He makes it a point to keep an upbeat attitude and a happy heart with his students, but they didn’t know just how cool he really was. That is, until he surprised them one day during a pep rally in the high school gym. When he heard the music playing in the gym, he immediately took the opportunity to show off his skills.
Much to the surprise of his students, he began flipping and grooving across the basketball court to the beat. At one point, he must have had some serious break dancing skills, and at least a few of them have stuck around from the looks of things in the video.
By the sound of the students, not only were they surprised by their awesome principal, but pretty impressed too. But Kane says bringing a little bit of light to the lives of the kids is what it is all about. He won the Ryan Award for exceptional leadership in education and Kane says the best way to help students is to be a great teacher. He says you have to strive continually to be the best in the classroom.
Kane says his goal is actually really simple. Just strive to be great. He says the kids deserve it and teachers work too hard and are too dedicated not to be great.
Check out his surprising dance routine in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends. To spread positivity into a child’s life, we need to be happy with ourselves first.
