It’s not a secret that postal workers don’t have it easy. They have to carry large loads of mail and heavy packages, and they do it year round regardless of the weather. Whether it is 100 degrees and the sun is blaring down, or it is below freezing and the ground is covered in ice and snow, these guys and gals still miraculously manage to get us our mail nearly every day of the year.
But there is one other thing that postal workers have to watch out for. Not every dog they come across is happy to see them, and postal workers have learned to take precaution as such. However, one postal worker and a young German Shepherd are working to prove that dogs and postal workers can not only get along, but be the best of friends.
Kyza is a nine-month-old German Shepherd that lives in New Zealand with his owner Michael. Although Kyza rarely barks and has never bitten anyone, his neighbors have dubbed him the “most dangerous dog in the neighborhood.”
Poor Kyza has done nothing to deserve the title, but the pooch is extremely large for his age. German Shepherds often take a while to warm up to people, and can sometimes be a bit aggressive. But not Kyza. He and the postal worker have met every day at the fence since Kyza was small, and even if Michael doesn’t have mail, the postal worker stops and gives Kyza a few loving pats on the head.

So one day Michael decided to video the two having their daily interaction and shared it on social media. Although he didn’t know if the postal worker would see the video, he wanted to thank him for doing a good job and to let him know that Kyza will always be his friend.
Check out the adorable interaction between the unlikely friends and be sure to share it with your family and friends. Kyza is proof that we should never judge a book by its cover.
