Just picture yourself being in a busy train station trying to get to work. The station is full of bustling people hurrying along to try to get wherever it is they need to be at a certain time. You hear the rumble of the trains, voices as they muffle together with people talking, and the announcer making announcements about trains coming and going.

Then out of no where, the announcer’s voice stops and is replaced with music. A tune that sounds oddly familiar, but you can’t quite place it. Then something even more extraordinary happens.

You see other people with confused looks on their faces. You’re not the only one that doesn’t understand what is going on. As if the music wasn’t enough, suddenly a man rushes to the middle of the station, drops his belongings, and begins dancing.

It’s not long before a little girl joins him. Then you realize that the name of the song is “Do Re Mi” from The Sound of Music. Little by little, more people join in dancing. Before you know it, the whole train station has been filled with people dancing to what is now obviously a flash mob to The Sound of Music.

It happened as part of an advertising campaign for VTM at the Antwerp station in Belgium and it worked remarkably well. It has been viewed over 37 million times. Check it out in the video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
