Airports are frenetic and typically not fun, serving merely as a necessary evil to get us from point A to point B.  Every once in awhile, however, something very entertaining can happen at an airport that catches everyone off guard, and that’s exactly what happened in this video!

The video below was shot at London Southend, and it opens with a young woman in a green sweatshirt starting to tap her feet as curious bystanders look on. At first, nobody quite knows what is going on.

Seconds later, a man approaches the woman and starts to dance as well. When a third man joins them, the crowd begins to cheer, as they realize that they are being treated to a show!

More and more dancers join in, and before long, the floor is full of Irish step dancers performing as a flash mob. It turns out that the dancers were performing for the launch of the Aer Lingus Regional Service, and the forty young dancers came from the McGahan Lees Dance Academy. This is an art school in the city of Essex, and their performance is hailed as one of the best flash mob videos ever!

Video of the dance has been viewed over 9 million times, with people all over the world getting a kick out of it.

It’s always fun to see flash mobs like this one perform in unusual places. Check out the unforgettable performance for yourself in the video below!
