A woman named Andy was recently shopping at her local Target in Rowland Heights, California when she noticed a little boy and his sister selling candy outside the store. Andy then witnessed a confrontation outside of the Target that left her so disturbed that she whipped out her phone to record it.

The video opens with a cranky woman approaching the children and berating them.

“Where is your license? Have you asked permission to be here?” she asked.

The little boy answered her by saying they just wanted to make a little bit of money. The woman continues to yell at the boy, threatening and telling him that the police are on their way to take him to jail. Things get so bad that the boy begins to cry at her vile attacks on him.

Finally, bystander Jay Lopez had enough and he stepped up to put the woman in her place.

“I’m buying it all,” the man says, referring to the candy the children were selling. “I’m gonna buy it all, and I’m gonna give it away to all these people. You should be ashamed of yourself.”

Jay then bought $80 worth of candy as the elderly woman looked on.

“There are good people and bad people in this world, and I saw it firsthand,” Andy wrote as she shared the video on Facebook. “Screw all you ignorant people that have to complain about something.”

We applaud Jay for doing the right thing and stepping up to defend these kids! Check out the video for yourself below.
