A heartbreaking video is going viral this week showing a little girl from Tennessee singing “Happy Birthday” to a photo of her father, a firefighter who passed away earlier this year.

Jason Dickey of Lawrenceburg would have turned 39 on Wednesday, but he was killed on February 12 when a home collapsed as he battled a fire. His family decided to celebrate his birthday anyway, and his wife Jennifer captured their daughter Korbyn singing to a pillow with a photo of his face on it.

Korbyn has a huge smile on her face as she sings “Happy birthday dada” while she wears a party dress and a big red bow in her blonde curly hair. Korbyn is one of Jason and Jennifer’s four children, the other three being Kensley, Kason, and baby Kallon, who was born a month after his father’s death.

Jennifer put flowers on Jason’s grave on his birthday before celebrating with her children with balloons and a cake. The video of Korbyn singing went viral, and it soon caught the attention of Jason’s fire station.

“There are no words. Embrace your loved ones and never forget the heroes who gave it all protecting us. Great Job,” the station wrote.

Jason had been a firefighter for eleven years when he died, and local Mayor Keith Durham paid tribute to him at his funeral.

“We celebrate the husband that he was, the daddy that he was, the friend that he was, the co-worker that he was. And this day, we celebrate his life,” Durham said. “All that he’s done, all the lifesaving measures he’s put in place, he was a hero before Monday night.”

Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers, and check out Korbyn’s video below.
