We all know that for a homeless person, life can be really rough. Not only do they struggle to find something to eat, but they also have to worry about whether or not they are going to have a roof over their head.

It’s also not uncommon for police departments to get phone calls about homeless people being in a neighborhood that they aren’t wanted in. So when the Huntington Beach, California, police department got a call about an occupied vehicle, they weren’t surprised.

When the police officers arrived at the occupied, suspicious car, they found a mother and her 11-year-old daughter inside. Instead of picking on them for being in an area they weren’t wanted, the cops acted quickly to help the pair. One of the police officers began working with the mother to help her find shelter that she and her daughter needed while the other officer, Zach Pricer, made the young girl get out of the car to release some stress.

Officer Pricer thought the girl needed a break from her worries and frustration, so he engage her in a game of hop scotch! The girl had never played it before, and although Pricer might have broken the rules a bit, it was still a great way for him to help her relax and have a bit of fun.

Check out the video below to watch Pricer’s interaction with the youngster and be sure to share this heartwarming video with your family and friends. We need more cops like this.
