A harrowing video is going viral showing the moment a bear cub and his mother tried to climb up a steep mountainside.

The mother and her cub can be seen wandering across the steep cliff edge in the Magadan Region of Russia. All seems to be going well at first, but then the cub starts to slip…

The mother doesn’t notice that her cub has started to fall, so she keeps climbing. Meanwhile, the cub continues to fall, with her paws being too small to grip the mountainside!

Before long, the cub is clinging to the mountain for dear life, hoping not to fall.

The little cub starts to fall down the cliff at a high rate of speed. Thankfully, she is able to get a grip on the mountainside before she hits the bottom. Not giving up, the determined cub starts climbing back up the mountain again in the hopes of reaching her mother. Just before she reaches the top, however, she starts to fall again!

This time, she was able to grab hold of an exposed rock. The cub once again refuses to give up, and starts climbing again! Finally, she reaches her mother safely. We can all learn from this little guy’s tenacious effort to never give up, no matter how many times you fail!

The video has quickly gone viral, being viewed over 466,000 times since it was posted. We can all learn a lesson from this baby bear to keep persevering no matter what challenges life throws our way!
