We all know that there are certain precautions we should take to help us avoid getting harmed in a house fire. We need to put up smoke alarms, be sure we put out candles, and other things.
But there is one thing that many people fail to do that could make a huge difference on the outcome of a fire. We need to close our bedroom door, but most of us don’t.
Whether you keep it open so you can hear the kids at night, or you’re just not in the habit, you might change your mind after watching the video below.

The UL Fire Fighters Safety Research Institute says that keeping the door shut to your bedroom at night can make a huge difference in whether you make it out of your home alive or not.
Due to the synthetic materials in our homes, research shows that in years past when more natural materials were used, we now have only three minutes to escape our home compared to 17 minutes decades ago.
Consequently, fire fighters all over have started a campaign called “Close Before You Doze” in an effort to convince people to start closing their doors before they go to sleep at night.
Check out the video below to see the unbelievable difference. If you weren’t a believer, you might be after seeing this. Be sure to share this story with your family and friends so they can be safe too.
