None of us particularly enjoy going to the doctor, and that is usually the case with dogs too. Mention the word vet and they disappear. Or in the case of Lulu, the Shiba Inu, you play dead.

That’s right. Lulu has lived with her family in New Zealand for several years now. She knows her family’s routine and can tell when something appears to be out of the norm.

So when her mom came in one morning to coax her out of bed, Lulu could tell that something was up. Her mom rubbed her belly, massaged her neck, and even spoke sweet words to her.

But since Lulu could tell something was different, she played dead. She didn’t move a muscle, especially when her mom mentioned that she had to go to the vet in just a bit.

However, when her mom mentioned that she couldn’t have a treat if she was going to keep pretending to be dead, Lulu suddenly sprang to life. I guess we can tell what her priorities are!
