Technology has made some unbelievable strides in recent years, and the vast majority of us are now dependent on smart phones and other devices.

One of these devices is Amazon’s Alexa, which is supposed to respond to our vocal demands and do what we say. While Alexa is a pretty impressive device, she can still malfunction sometimes in hilarious ways. Now, a video showing Alexa malfunction is going viral, and it’s sure to bring a smile to your face.

Cryssy Turner walked into her kitchen one day to see her toddler daughter trying to get Alexa to play her favorite song. However, instead of playing the song she wanted, Alexa started doing anything but that!

The Alexa device was high up on the family’s counter, and though she was far below it, the girl still fully intended to try and get the device to play her jam.

Cryssy posted video of her daughter’s reaction to Facebook, where it quickly went viral.

“She tries so hard to get Alexa to play her jam,” she captioned the video. “She struggled for at least 5 mins before I even started recording. ?? #babyshark #babygirl #persistence.”

It seems like Alexa is not quite fluent in baby talk!

By the end of the video, Cryssy finally stepped in and explained to Alexa that her daughter wanted to hear the song “Baby Shark,” and the device quickly complied! As soon as the song comes on, the little girl breaks into an adorable happy dance.
