While some little girls might get nervous when it comes time for their dance recital, this little girl seemed to be anything but scared when she stepped out on stage. Six-year-old Johanna Colon rocks the stage with her sass and spunk and gets the crowd roaring. You can’t help but love watching her!

Little Johanna was one of a trio of young girls who saunted onto the recital stage to dance to Aretha Franklin’s tune “Respect.” Johanna’s mom, Elissa, said that Johanna practiced the routine nearly every day at home. These home practices gave Elissa a chance to tell her daughter a little about the queen of soul music.

One of the first thing Johanna pointed out to her mother about Franklin was that she seemed to have a little bit of an attitude and that she liked that. Elissa says that Johanna was determined to put that same attitude and spunk into her dance routine, and boy did she do that!

Throughout the routine, Johanna lip syncs the lyrics as she dances, and she’s not afraid to put some attitude into her moves. She throws her hands up in the air, puts her hands on her hips and shakes her bottom, and even points her finger at the crowd.

The crowd can’t help but laugh and cheer throughout the routine too. They applaud and cheer loudly, which only seems to motivate Johanna even more. She shakes her head and pouts her lips with attitude as her dad yells in the video, “That’s my girl!”

At the end of the video when Johanna and the other girls strike their last pose, the crowd loses it and goes into a full out roar of applause. Who would have thought that such amazing entertainment could be put on by a six-year-old?
