Being a police officer is a hard job. You can’t make everyone happy. The people asking for your help won’t think you’re doing it fast enough, and the people you are reprimanding will never appreciate it.

So when Detective Sergeant Gary Sanders with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was called to respond to a “noise complaint” at a dance studio, he knew it wasn’t going to be fun. It wasn’t the first time he’d been there.

As soon as he walks into the dance studio, he orders the music to be turned off and tells them that the noise is too loud and he’s going to have to give them a ticket.

Although the video looks like an episode of the television show COPS, it is actually a parody and is an opportunity for cops in the area and members of the community to show off their stuff.

With officers dressed in uniform and the Image Studio dancers decked out in Tacoma Rainiers baseball jerseys, a full blown dance off commences.

The deputies make a valiant effort, but these girls know their dance moves and the cops truly struggle to keep up. Eventually they all make it to the Cheney Stadium where the minor league team plays.

Check out the video below to see what happens with the “ticket” that Det. Sgt. Sanders was supposed to write and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
