Every dog owner’s worst nightmare is losing their beloved canines. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened to the man in this story, but his story ended up having a surprisingly happy ending.

The man in the video below is from Tbilisi, Georgia, and he lost his dog three years ago. Since it had been so long, he had given up all hope of ever being reunited with his dog again. Then, he got a phone call that he was never expecting to get!

A shop owner called the man up one day to tell him that a dog who looked an awful lot like the pet he had lost was sleeping in front of her store. The man rushed over to the shop, and when he got there, he was stunned to see that the canine really did look just like his dog!

“Zhora is that you? Georgie?” he said incredulously.

The dog immediately responded to his name, and his reaction to being reunited with his owner is heartwarming!

“Georgie it is you! Aww sweet boy, how are you boy?” the man exclaimed. Turning to the shop owner, he said, “He’s been lost for three years. I’ve been looking for him. He recognized me, can you imagine? Can you take a photo of us?”

The video has gone viral, being viewed over one million times in just four days. People all over the world can’t get enough of this footage!

“That’s the bark of a dog that really loves their owner,” one user wrote, another adding, “How wonderful is it for two old friends to meet, that’s the best part of life.”
