It’s been 21 years since Princess Diana passed away, and she is still dearly missed by people all over the world. While we all miss Diana very much, nobody misses her more than her beloved family members.

Princess Eugenie is set to marry Jack Brooksbank on Saturday, and it has just been revealed that her mother Sarah Ferguson is doing something beautiful to make sure Diana is present at the wedding. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that Sarah has chosen one of Diana’s favorite hymns to be played at the wedding in a move that will “please” the deceased royal’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

The hymn that will be played is “I Vow To Thee My Country,” which was played both at Diana’s 1981 wedding to Prince Charles and at her 1997 funeral.

“Sarah may well pay a tribute to Diana,” Richard said. “They were famously friendly though they subsequently fell out. A gesture would undoubtedly please William and Harry. She might choose a hymn which Diana was fond of such as I Vow To Thee My Country which was sung at Diana’s wedding and funeral.”

Diana once said that the hymn had “always been a favorite since schooldays.”

Sarah became close with Diana after she married Prince Andrew. Both Diana and Sarah would go on to divorce their respective husbands in the 1990s.

Sarah has been busily preparing for the wedding, seeing it as her big chance to make a royal comeback. Many members of the royal family have blacklisted Sarah since 1992, when scandalous photos of her emerged on vacation with oil tycoon John Bryan. Despite this, Sarah has remained close to William and Harry over the years.

“Sarah Ferguson has made a seismic effort to regain some of the royal favour she so catastrophically lost,” Richard said. “This wedding is her chance to excel.”
