Kathy Felt has been battling the degenerative disease multiple sclerosis for many years. Recently, the disease progressed to the point where it was difficult for Kathy to get in and out of bed without assistance. Since Kathy lives alone, it seemed like the only option was going to be for her to move to an assisted living facility, but she didn’t want to leave the Utah home that she loved.

Each morning, Kathy’s sons and an aide would help her get up and get ready for the day, but they could not be with her all the time. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost for Kathy, something happened that she was never expecting.

One day, Kathy heard a knock on her door, and she was stunned to see one of her neighbors standing there. He had heard about her situation, and he had an idea to help her. Though it sounded crazy, Kathy was willing to try anything to keep her out of a nursing home.

“I cried. Just like now. I was so moved. This is my miracle,” she said.

A total of sixty men in Kathy’s hometown of Sandy stepped up to help her when she needed it most! These men have been taking turns going to Kathy’s home every night to help her get ready for bed! As she said, the men really are her miracle, as they are making sure that she will be able to live on her own for as long as possible.
