Young people are known for trying various “challenges” these days that can be both ridiculous and dangerous. Sadly, young people often end up caving to pressure from peers when they are dared to do a challenge that is extremely dangerous.

Eleven-year-old Tyler Broome was hanging out at the park one day when a friend pressured him to try the YouTube stunt known as the “roundabout of death.” This stunt involves someone sitting in the middle of a merry-go-round and being spun at a high speed using the rear wheel of a motorcycle or moped.

Dawn Hollingworth, Tyler’s mother, said that her son and his friend were approached by a group of older teenagers to try this stunt out.

A horrifying video shows Tyler passing out during the stunt on the merry-go-round, but the teenagers revving the motorcycle engine do not notice and keep spinning the boy at an alarmingly high rate of speed.

Afterwards, Tyler was left with horrific injuries similar to those doctors have witnessed in fighter pilots from the extreme levels of gravitational force. After he passed out and fell off the merry-go-round, the teenagers left Tyler passed out and alone in the park. Because of this, Tyler experienced fluid and blood pumped all around his brain, which ultimately damaged his vision and caused his eyes to bulge out.

Dawn explained that at first, doctors had no idea how to treat her son.

“My son has been rushed to one of the country’s top hospitals, Queens Medical Centre, for treatment for severe injuries,” she said. “His injuries were so rare the staff have never witnessed such injuries and had to research it before they could treat him.”

The mother also had a brutal message for the teenagers who did this to her son.

“As for the scumbags who call themselves friends who laughed so loud when he passed out and then left him alone unconscious in the park, I and the police know who you are,” Dawn said. “The guy with the bike who I won’t name is almost an adult yet he ran like a baby. A decent young lad who I only know as Liam … who entered the park and saw my son laying on the ground ran and called an ambulance, from the bottom of my heart I thank you so much Liam.”

Sadly, Tyler is at risk of suffering a stroke  if the swelling in his head does not subside. Dawn made the decision to share the video below in the hopes of it serving as a warning to other parents. Watch it below at your own discretion.
