If you’ve never understood the healing powers of scripture there’s no time like the times that you are sad or suffering from anxiety to give them a try. It is one of the few places that peace can be found. These 30 Bible verses can not only help strengthen your faith, but offer you comfort in tough times.

1. Psalm 56:3-4 – “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

2. Joshua 1:9-11 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

3. Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

4. John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
