The wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank is just a few weeks away now. Since this is the second royal wedding of the year, many comparisons are inevitably being made between their wedding and that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Though Eugenie’s wedding is set to take place at Windsor Castle as was Prince Harry’s ceremony, she has made an announcement about her guest’s dress code that makes it clear that her wedding will be very different indeed. Before their May wedding, Harry and Meghan requested that women attend their nuptials in day dresses and hats, while the men were given the more flexible option of either uniforms, morning coats, or lounge suits.

Eugenie and Jack have gone a bit of a different route with their dress code requests. While their dress code for women is the same as it was for Meghan and Harry, their dress code for men is stricter. They have given men only the single option of a morning coat this time around-the super formal style of jacket with knee length tails. Unlike Harry, Jack never served in the military, so it makes sense that the option of a uniform is not included on their invitation.

Eugenie’s wedding is also set to be even larger than Meghan and Harry’s. She has sent out a total of 850 invitations, which is 250 more than Meghan and Harry sent out. We can’t wait to see how Eugenie’s big day goes, and we wish her and Jack the very best of luck!
