Millions of us turn on the news to see the daily weather forecast, but it’s very rare that a weather broadcast takes a hilarious turn!
This all started when the Humane Society brought one of their dogs over to Global Edmonton’s news station in Canada. The dog they brought was an 18-month-old Mastiff mix named Ripple, who was extremely playful.
As he started his weather forecast, weatherman Mike Sobel held onto Ripple’s leash so that he could join him.

As soon as the segment started, it was clear that this was not going to go how Mike planned. Ripple first started chewing on the leash like a toy, and though Mike told him to sit, he made it clear he had no intention of doing so! Ripple did not care at all that Mike was trying to do the weather. Instead, he just wanted to have fun!

Eventually, Ripple manages to completely break the leash!
The video has gone viral, as people all over the globes are cracking up over seeing Mike try desperately to control this dog.
“Still finished his weather report. Like a boss,” one user wrote, adding, “Weather guy was super in this piece – it’s the first time I’ve enjoyed watching the weather!”
“Mike never misses a beat; does a great reporting job under most difficult conditions! 🙂 Bravo to you both; guaranteed to lift anyone`s spirits!” a third user added.
This segment ended up paying off for Ripple, as he was adopted just a few days later! Check out the hilarious video below!
