Tim Tebow took to social media on Monday to post a shout-out to his parents, who have been married for 47 years.
The photo that he posted to Instagram shows the couple holding hands while walking in the rain. The photograph was taken in New York City, and the Tebows were there for a very special reason.
Back in July, Tebow revealed that he is dating 23-year-old Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, also known as Miss Universe.
“She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life,” Tebow said. “I am usually very private with these things, but I am very thankful.”
It turns out that Tebow’s parents spent their anniversary meeting Nel-Peters! She posted a photo to social media confirming the meeting.
“So blessed and grateful to have time with my parents and another really special family,” she wrote alongside the photo.

Nel-Peters revealed in July that she met Tebow while working with his charity, The Tim Tebow Foundation.
“I don’t know if you know, but I have a half-sister who was born with a disability and his foundation (The Tim Tebow Foundation) works very closely with children with disabilities,” she said. “They have an event each year called ‘Night to Shine’ and they host them each year in churches and in different countries and he invited me and my family. We started talking and we kinda haven’t stopped.”
