A woman who claimed her dog was a vegetarian was humiliated on live television when her pet proved her wrong seconds later!

Lucy Carrington told the host of the British talk show “The Morning” that she started giving her husky Storm leftover veggies and meat-free dog food this summer when the animal was put off of other food by the hot weather. Lucy tried to prove this on live television by having Storm choose between a bowl of meat and a bowl of veggies, but things didn’t quite go the way she planned!

Without hesitating, Storm dove right for the meat! Though she gave the greens a quick sniff, she refused to eat them!

“Oh you little.. I didn’t swear,” Lucy said. “In fairness the weather has cooled down quite dramatically.”

The test was done as part of a debate on whether or not dogs can be vegetarians. As Storm ate the meat, host Eamonn Holmes said, “You say dogs can’t make the choice, but on this programme they can make the choice.”

Veterinarian Scott Miller appeared on the show to explain that dogs are omnivores (they eat meat and plants) so the diet change was denying the dog’s choice.

In the end, Lucy said that she would start giving her beloved dog meat again.

“If this is what she wants then obviously I’m going to adapt accordingly,” she said at the conclusion of the segment.
