Joan Collins may be 85 years-old, but the glamorous actress looks like a woman who is far younger than that. While Joan has always denied ever having plastic surgery, she remains virtually wrinkle free even at her advanced age.
That’s why fans were stunned when a photo of Joan playing a frail elderly woman in her latest movie were released.
A photo from the new movie Gerry, which premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, shows Joan wearing a frumpy, beige Aran-knit cardigan as she sits in front of a miserable-looking plate of peas. In the film, Joan plays a lonely widow named Hilda, who is spending yet another Christmas alone at a retirement home after losing her husband.

Joan is so young looking that she had to wear prosthetics to play someone who is the same age as her! Just last year, she hit back at claims that she had gotten plastic surgery, vehemently denying that there was any truth to that.
“If people want to think I’ve had surgery, then…” she said with a shrug. “You can tell [I haven’t] because I have lines and jowls. When I see women around my age I think, ‘Oh, really? My gosh, I look quite a bit…’ I think I look pretty good!”

Joan says that she has managed to stay young by keeping her skin out of the sun and by watching her weight closely.
“Putting on weight – it’s fatal. I have this [indicates lower stomach] and can’t get rid of it,” the actress said. “It doesn’t matter what I do. I have a trainer who comes over and I do stretches and lunges. We don’t do anything too strenuous because I don’t believe in ‘no pain no gain.'”
Keep up the good work, Joan! Watch her discuss her new movie and other things in the video below.
